Traditional Thanksgiving Foods I Like or Dislike — that’s the topic this week in the Wednesday Weekly Blogging Challenge, and it’s an easy one for me.
I LOVE (yes, I’m shouting) stuffing. I make mine with veggie broth, celery, walnuts, and either raisins or cranberries. I could just eat stuffing all day on Thanksgiving and be content. 🙂
I also love squash and sweet potatoes, especially the way my sister-in-law makes them with brown sugar. Hers are the best I’ve ever had.
As for what I dislike, it would have to be turkey. It’s not only because I’m a vegetarian. Growing up, I ate meat, but I never liked turkey.

I love all the traditional foods and I especially love turkey…lol…. especially for after-Thanksgiving turkey sandwiches. My husband, though, is another story. He’s not a fan of anything poultry. He’ll eat a small piece but will mostly fill his plate with all the other stuff My post is here if you want to stop by.
I’m not that into turkey either!
We used to make a sweet potato casserole with brown sugar, cinnamon, and pineapple and it was covered with marshmallow. Similar to yours but very sweet (and very good). We don’t make it anymore, but I have strong memories of that dish from my childhood.
I thought it was an overall unpopular opinion to not like turkey for Thanksgiving. I mean I like turkey just not this turkey.
Also, YAS! on the stuffing. All. Day. Long.

I am not a fan of stuffing (usually), and it’s very easy for turkey to be dry and/or kind of bland — I’ll take ham instead, if it’s available. Honestly at this point I’d love to see some non-traditional Thanksgiving meals, just for the sake of variety!
We don’t do Thanksgiving in the UK sadly, but I do love stuffing at any other time.
I’ll eat stuffing at any time, too, Tanith!
I agree, it’s fun to see some non-traditional foods, too!
I was also surprised to see a lot of people aren’t crazy about turkey. I can’t get enough stuffing, either. 🙂
