This week’s topic of the Wednesday Weekly Blogging Challenge is ‘tell us something about a pet.’
My basset hound mix, nicknamed Droopy, had a lot of amusing quirks, but this was one of my favorites. She wasn’t crazy about the outdoors and found ways to try avoiding it. If a walk went on too long (say more than 10 minutes), she’d stand in one spot and refuse to move. She had fairly small head in comparison to her body and a few times the collar came over it. Also, if we let her out the back door, she would walk right around to the front door and wait to be let in.
As you can see from these photos, she was a highly motivated animal. 🙂
It’s been a while since she crossed the rainbow bridge, but I still miss her a lot. Not a day went by when she didn’t make me smile, and when I think about her, I still smile remembering her quirks.

Droopy sounds lovely. Thank you for sharing some of your memories of her. I love reading about pets who have amusing quirks like that. 🙂
(Sorry this comment is late! My previous one must not have gone through).
