What are your favorite genres to read and write?
I read all across the board. I enjoy inspirational books that make you think, literary fiction, YA books, and of course, romance. I love paranormal romance and urban fantasy with strong alphas. But whatever it is, if it’s good, I’ll read it.
As for writing, I can lose myself in any sub-genre of romance–paranormal, menage, western, futuristic, contemporary, interracial…
You’ve written several menage stories. What do you like best about writing menage?
I love the challenge of writing a menage. It’s a balancing act to create a believable relationship and deal with issues of jealousy and possessiveness. Once you start writing menage, it’s hard to go back to m/f sex scenes!
When writing, do you have full control of your characters, or at some point do they seem to take on a life of their own?
There is always a point where the characters become real. At first you force personality into them, but eventually they evolve and take over. I love when that happens! I always miss my characters when I finish writing a book because they become so real to me.
Share one of the sexiest or romantic lines from one of your books.
One line? That’s tough. How’s this from Cowboy Domination: “Colton, get the rope, this filly needs to be broke.”
Please tell us about your latest release.
My latest release is Catch Me If You Can. It’s another western menage a quatre about an ordinary women given an extraordianary vacation. Here’s the blurb:
Christina is an ordinary woman, working a dead-end job as a bank teller. When her late grandmother gives her the gift of a luxury vacation, she looks forward to the break from reality. But instead of an upscale resort, she arrives at a working ranch with three dead sexy cowboys. They may not offer to give her the spa treatment, but they’re eager to please her in other ways.
Just when the relationship between Christina and her cowboys moves to the next level, she’s forced to leave the ranch in order to protect the men she loves. She runs from them, knowing that if they catch her, she won’t be able to stay away. But being together seems destined to failure. Can they overcome the obstacles facing their loving mĂ©nage?
I’ve just submitted a sequel to Saving Grace, a western menage a trois that focuses on some fan favorite characters from the first book.
