Moonlight Inspiration

Posted on February 13, 2011October 28, 2024 by Kate

A beautiful but eerie moon scene is not only visually pleasing but often motivates me to write.

Tonight when I stood on my porch and looked skyward, I couldn’t help feeling inspired by what I saw. I’ve just finished a story about a half-demon living in the mountains of New England. When I looked at the moon I almost expected my hero, Brody, to fly overhead. Though his main story is over, I feel a free short story coming to me.

Sometimes when you look outside, does something catch your eye and inspire creativity? What has done it for you?

It doesn’t happen all the time, but when it does, it’s a great feeling!
