Reluctant time travelers Sefu, Tiago and Zandra land in Romania in 1686. After the trio’s experience in the old west, Tiago refuses to mingle with humans again, but his companions have other plans.
A wealthy family of vampires threatens a nearby village, demanding human sacrifices to satisfy their bloodlust. Vamps might be the legendary lords of sex and violence, but they haven’t met Rough, Tough and Tumble.
Although Sefu, Tiago and Zandra are shapeshifters, they learn that the vampires aren’t what they appear to be. Once again Rough, Tough and Tumble exercise their seduction skills and confront their innermost fears while doing battle in the past.
The following excerpt from BLOOD, SEX AND LEERS is for readers 18 and over.
Tiago flew over the mountains in the shape of an eagle. He wasn’t certain if eagles actually existed in this area, but he preferred their physical qualities to that of an owl. Unable to sleep, he’d decided to leave the barn to take a better look at their surroundings.
A castle not far from the village nabbed his interest, so he flew in for a closer look and landed on one of the cone-shaped rooftops on the east wing. Seconds later, a golden eagle landed beside him and glanced at him with familiar blue eyes.
A jolt of annoyance shot through Tiago and he shifted to his human shape, complete with warm black trousers, shirt and boots.
“Sefu, what the hell do you think you’re doing?”
The gladiator also shifted to his human form, wearing a snug black turtleneck, work boots and jeans that hugged his long, muscular legs.
“Following you,” Sefu replied.
“First, how did you follow me without giving yourself away? Second, what kind of a stupid outfit is that for this period in time? And third, why did you leave Zandra alone?”
The handsome blond grinned. “Pissed off because I’m stealthier? In the arena I competed in maze games. They’d release several of us into a maze and we had to track and defeat each other. I was one of the best. As for Zandra, you left her too and besides she’s perfectly safe nesting in the rafters. What was the other thing you wanted to know?”
Tiago shook his head and closed his eyes. Sefu wasn’t the brightest star in the sky. At times he drove Tiago to distraction, but the man was charming and gorgeous as hell.
“The clothes, Sefu. I’m pretty sure jeans and work boots didn’t exist on seventeenth century Earth.”
“And who’s going to see me up here on the roof?”
Good point.
“What are we doing here?” Sefu asked.
“I wanted to take a look around. It’s good to know our surroundings.”
“Aren’t you the guy who wanted to hide out as an owl for as long as we’re here?”
Tiago leveled an irritated look in Sefu’s direction, but one glance into those big blue eyes and he had to fight to hold onto his annoyance.
“So you came. You saw. Are you satisfied?” Sefu asked.
“Yes.”
“I’m not,” Sefu said, a playful gleam in his eye. He wrapped an arm around Tiago and covered his mouth in a passionate kiss.
Tiago’s heart pounded as much from their precarious position as from the cock-stirring sensation of Sefu’s lips and tongue against his.
“Are you crazy?” Tiago breathed against Sefu’s lips. “We’re on a roof.”
“It’s all right. I’m good at shifting into flying creatures.”
“Well it takes me a few seconds to change shape. I’m still. . .rusty,” Tiago said, the words bitter on his lips. “Those seconds could be the difference between life and death if we roll off the roof.”
“Don’t worry. I won’t let you go.” Sefu kissed him again. This time he reached down and cupped Tiago’s crotch. It felt so good that his shape shifted clothes disappeared, replaced by his true, naked form.
